• 1977:  Our founder, Bob Reed, participated in the creation of the California Real Estate Inspection Association. CREIA was established to provide standards, a code of ethics, and continuing education for our industry. Our founder was a charter member, past president and newsletter editor for CREIA.

• 1978: Our founder joined the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), the national counterpart of CREIA. Our founder was a member, and served on various committees and advisory panels.

• 1980: We were the first to use computer processing assistance in the home inspection business. Our computers helped us submit reports promptly, and provide and additional editing check to assure accuracy. Compare our reports with any other!

• 1984: We added photographs for greater clarity of certain conditions.

• 1985: Orange County Register awarded us a certificate as a "Top 50" Orange County business. This award was based upon such factors as innovation, service and quality.

• 1987, '88  &  ' 99: Orange County Register wrote feature articles on our service.

• 1989:  Our founder was the recipients of CREIA's prestigious John Daly Award "for exemplary service to CREIA and to the real estate inspection industry."

• 1990: Our founder received the ultimate award for home inspectors, ASHI's coveted Phillip Monahan award, "in recognition of many years of distinguish service to the Society and the home inspection profession." Our company founder is the only recipient of both the ASHI and CREIA top awards.

• 1990:  PBS broadcast a HomeTime show on home inspection with screen credit to us and our founder for our consulting assistance. We have a tape of that show and certain other home project tapes for loan.

• 1992: Our founder received a special citation from CREIA "for exceptional volunteer effort benefiting home inspectors, the inspection industry and CREIA.

• 1995:  Entrepreneur Magazine featured American Inspection in it's "Guide to becoming a Home Inspector."

• 1998:  We added on-site computer generated reports to better serve our clients.

• 1999 & '00:  Elected CREIA Orange County Chapter President

• 2000 Our president became a Master CREIA Inspector (MCI). This is CREIA's top category for inspectors.
